LIVER RECIPE from a class member
1 large piece of liver,
2 cloves of garlic,
1 egg.

Use a large piece of liver nearly cooked through. Mince with two cloves of garlic and bind with an egg. Press into a shallow baking dish lined with greaseproof paper.
Bake for 1 hour on gas mark 1, turning the meat over half way through the cooking time.
Cut into small pieces while still warm.
It is advisable to freeze any liver that is not being used immediately. It goes “off” very quickly.

1½ pints milk
2-3 fl oz of stock or water
2 tablespoons grated cheese,
1 tablespoon salt
3 Oxo cubes.

Variations: Dissolve teaspoon of Marmite in some of the milk, add a well beaten egg, reducing the quantity of milk by about 1/8th of a pint. Or use one tablespoon of molasses (black treacle) instead of the Marmite.

DOG ICE CREAM  from Your Dog Magazine.
1 large tub natural yoghurt
1 medium banana
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp honey

Blend banana, honey and peanut butter until smooth. Add yoghurt and blend enough for all ingredients to mix well. Put mixture in container (old ice cream tub will do) and freeze until solid. Let stand for 10 minutes out of the freezer before giving it to the dog. This is a treat – not a regular meal!
